Clarence
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals Over three years ago our beloved, almost-twelve-year-old Golden Retriever Clarence was struggling with his mobility. In fact, he was deteriorating to where he could not stand on his hind legs. I’m a firm believer in alternative medical practices and searched for help through acupuncture. In my search I was delighted to find someone who would come to our home as to not stress an already frail dog. Oh my goodness, Dr. Schepps gave us a wonderful extra two plus years with our precious boy! Between her superb acupuncture treatments in conjunction with a tailored Chinese herbal regimen, Clarence was able to get up on his own, regaining mobility in his back legs that allowed us again to enjoy our daily park walks and his favorite summer activity, swimming in our pool! Dr. Mitzi is a natural healer. She thrives on learning every aspect of both traditional and, her specialty, alternative medicine. Not only is she an amazing person, no two legged or four legged being can resist her infectious personality and her dedication to her patients! Dr. Schepps is a true miracle worker,; we are so blessed that we found her amazing practice, Wellness Waggin’ Acupuncture. Our family is so grateful to her and we cannot recommend her enough. Thank you, Dr. Mitzi! Murray and Emily Clarke Marietta Lily
Acupuncture, Assisi Loop, Chinese Herbals, ToeGrips, PawFriction I met Dr. Mitzi Schepps when my heart dog Lily was diagnosed with lung cancer and going through chemotherapy. Dr. Schepps was a critical part of Lily’s medical team and really helped manage the side effects of chemotherapy (lethargy, nausea, diarrhea), giving her the best quality of life possible through this hard-fought battle. Lily had several health issues making this a very challenging case — 11-yr.-old Boxer with lung cancer, mast cell tumor on her knee, kidney disease, pancreatitis, syncope episodes, spay incontinence, and corneal edemas in both eyes which eventually took her sight. Dr. Schepps was simply amazing! She came to our home, so Lily was able to rest comfortably during her treatments without being exposed to other sick animals. Dr. Schepps treated Lily with acupuncture, herbal supplements and even recommended exercises and the Assisi Loop, which helped manage her hind-end weakness. Lily was always so happy to see Dr. Schepps for her treatments! I will be forever grateful for the wonderful care Dr. Schepps gave Lily until the very end of her life. Maggie
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals, Laser Therapy My sweet, young beagle mix, Maggie, slipped a disc in her back over the summer. Maggie was unable to walk or jump or play, all things she loved to do at her young age of five. I was devastated and crying that she was so young, in so much pain and unable to be herself. I immediately called Dr. Schepps, who assured me she could help. I scheduled an acupuncture appointment for Maggie and loved that Wellness Waggin’ was mobile. Upon arrival to my home, Dr. Schepps took her time to explain the process to me and allow Maggie to settle down. Once we got started, I knew this was going to be great. Dr. Schepps has a calm demeanor and shares my holistic approach to health. Maggie went on to have four or five acupuncture treatments and was put on herbal supplements for in-between sessions. After just one visit, Maggie started to improve. I was given exercise “homework” to do, which reinforced the acupuncture treatments that Dr. Schepps provided. Dr. Schepps was honest and never tried to push more treatments on me. She told me what she thought would help, and IT DID!! I can ecstatically say that after completion of her treatments and supplements, my sweet Maggie was jumping on the couch and playing with her fur and human siblings again. She is “as good as new!” I have recommended Dr. Schepps to many other people who have been equally happy with her amazing work. I can’t thank Dr. Schepps enough for giving me back my Maggie the way she is supposed to be at five years old. I am forever grateful, and so is Maggie. Stacey Warshowsky Marietta Bernie
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals Bernie has had several acupuncture treatments with Dr. Schepps. Treatments have really helped with Bernie’s gate and overall well-being. He seems to be responding well to the treatments, walking better and is more active. Dr. Schepps is always willing to try new methods and truly cares about Bernie. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for acupuncture for their animal. Lisa Handman Alpharetta |
Chloe
Acupuncture, Assisi Loop, Essential Oils In our family, Dr. Schepps of Wellness Waggin’ Acupuncture, is a hero. Our beautiful, 19-year-old Maine coon cat, Chloe, woke up one day unable to walk or support her weight since her back legs kept collapsing. We were beside ourselves with worry that she would have to be put down. Dr. Schepps was recommended to us and, after one acupuncture treatment, Chloe could walk and support her weight. After two treatments, she was walking normally. We continued with treatments for maintenance, to support her overall wellness and to help her digestion. Overall, she looks more alert and energized, healthier and much younger than her age. I love that Dr Schepps comes to our home to treat Chloe; it makes it so convenient and less stressful for her. Chloe responds well to Dr Schepps’ nurturing, calm manner, and I appreciate the quality of her skills and knowledge. I highly recommend Wellness Waggin’ Acupuncture. Susan Keenan Alpharetta Marty
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals, Help'EmUp Harness, Laser Therapy I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Mitzi Schepps, Owner of Wellness Waggin’ Acupuncture & Laser. My dog Marty suffered from a ruptured disc in his back in November of last year, leaving him paralyzed in his back legs. After a successful surgery at Blue Pearl/GVS, rehab and acupuncture were recommended in an effort to allow Marty to walk again. I called Dr. Schepps on Tuesday, the day after I was able to bring Marty home, and explained the situation. She was able to see Marty the next day, Wednesday, to get treatment started as we didn’t want to wait too long. Then she came two days later, on Friday, to see him again in order to continue the treatment. While she was doing all of this, she spoke with Dr. Evelyn Orenbuch (head of medical team at Georgia Veterinary Rehabilitation) and Angie Santy (operations manager at GVR) about Marty and what type of Physical Therapy Rehab program might benefit him the most in conjunction with the acupuncture. They all thought that an intense PT program is what would benefit Marty the most, which he started on 12/4/17. I am very happy and proud to share that Marty was walking with minimal assistance by the beginning of 2018 and is now walking and getting around on his own. His progress is nothing short of incredible, and my wife, Marty, and I will always be grateful to Dr. Schepps, who got the post surgical treatment started immediately and was able to help us augment it with GVR, and their outstanding staff. It truly was a heroic effort by all to get Marty walking again! Mike and Tami Asheroff Atlanta Abbi
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals My 9-year-old Great Dane, Abbi, was having problems getting up and down, and my vet suggested I try acupuncture. So, I found Dr. Mitzi Schepps, who did house calls. This was so important to me as Abbi’s weak back legs made it difficult to get her in and out of the car. Dr. Mitzi came over, and Abbi instantly loved her quiet voice and gentle hands. As you can see in the picture from one of her sessions, she would totally relax. Every time after Dr. Mitzi left, one of my other Great Danes, Bogey, would go over and lay next to Abbi. He seemed to always be by her side to give her extra comfort. I cannot say enough about Dr. Mitzi Schepps. Her quiet, soothing demeanor is so perfect for treating our fur babies, and they instantly know they are in good hands. Connie Adams Marietta Baby Boy
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals Dr. Schepps is our miracle worker. Back in October of 2017, our elderly Chihuahua “Baby Boy” was having excruciating pain any time he moved his head or left front paw. The pain caused him to yelp uncontrollably for several minutes. Our vet prescribed muscle relaxers and tranquilizers just to keep him calm and limit his movements. In addition to the prescriptions, our vet introduced us to Dr. Schepps. Having experienced acupuncture treatments ourselves over the years, we eagerly contacted Dr. Schepps in hopes of a miracle. Up to this point we were very concerned that due to his advanced age and the severity of his condition we would be forced into a hard life-or-death decision that we were not prepared to make. Dr. Schepps arrived at our house exactly when she said she would come. At first our little protector was leary of this new face, however, her warm caring nature won him over and in no time he settled into his treatments. We literally watched him relax and change within minutes. We noticed a huge improvement after his very first treatment and within a day we were able to take him off his meds. His hip dysplasia has also noticeably improved with the treatments, so we have decided to continue with monthly treatments even though Baby Boy no longer has the excruciating pain that started us on the acupuncture path. We are very grateful that Dr. Schepps found her way into Baby Boy’s life and now we and Baby Boy eagerly welcome her on every visit. With much gratitude and appreciation!!! Acupuncture, Laser Therapy, Assisi Loop & Chinese Herbals Dr. Mitzi Schepps is truly the most amazing specialist! We lovingly call her our acupuncture angel, and for great reason. Her expertise has brought significant relief to three(!) of our pups over the years, and her service is unparalleled. She is talented, patient, kind, eager to do anything to help and, most importantly, effective! She also is so responsive, quickly replying to any requests and always finding a way to help our babies when they are in need. Her in-home service is especially helpful with pups who have mobility issues. She is the absolute best, and we are beyond lucky to have found her. I have and will continue to ecommended her to everyone I know! Jon and Beth Bristow Smyrna |
Garf
Acupuncture In addition to two joint supplements, I decided to go with a holistic treatment for my 19-year-old cat’s mild arthritis; Garf is on those supplements plus additional meds for kidney disease and high blood pressure. So, I didn’t want to also put the poor guy on unnecessary pain meds that would sedate him. I know that acupuncture does have support from the medical community, so I decided to give it a try. Dr. Schepps is wonderful with my boy; she is calming and gentle, and he really likes her. He sits still for the treatments and does not seem to experience a bit of pain from the needles. I like the fact that at the beginning of each session, Dr. Schepps inquires into his current health issues to determine what problems need to be addressed. I’m confident that these treatments are helping him. I will sometimes notice stiffness in his walk and then find that he is markedly improved after an acupuncture treatment. I also find that he is grooming himself better and has less trouble in the litter box. My guy will be 20 years old in one month; I’m confident that the acupuncture treatments are giving him a better quality of life in his very old age. The attached photo of him was taken today, in February 2018. Anita Lynn Roswell Coco
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals, Assisi Loop, ToeGrips Big shout out to Dr. Mitzi Levine Schepps, Wellness Waggin Acupuncture!! We were not very hopeful of Coco’s future after her back injury in December. She had injured her spine and lost the use of her hind legs. A friend recommended Wellness Waggin’, and after several treatments, Coco has made great strides and is walking again. I’ve provided two videos of Coco, one taken back when she just started to regain use of her legs and the second one today of her going for a walk!!! Thank you, Dr. Schepps, for giving Coco a new lease on life! Emer Coughlin Kennesaw Bennie Augustine
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals, Assisi Loop, Laser Therapy, ToeGrips, PawFriction, Essential Oils My English Labrador, Bennie, has been a loving companion and stalwart in my life. We have weathered many storms together, and it would be hard to imagine my life without him. Bennie is just shy of 15 and a half years old. He has miraculously survived situations that one would have considered terminal. I can honestly say that I credit the last year and a half of his life to Dr. Mitzi. He wouldn’t be walking or dealing with the pain of his unfortunate recent diagnosis of cancer without Dr. Mitzi. When she arrives, he knows that things will get better for a while. She is a wonderful, dependable and caring professional that goes above and beyond for her furry patients. I have the utmost of faith and trust in her. Dr. Mitzi has been nothing short of a blessing, and her talents have been amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to give her the highest recommendation imaginable for the care of your beloved pets. My only regret is that I can’t talk her into treating me. Toni M. Augustine Sandy Springs Oliver
Acupuncture, Assisi Loop, Chinese Herbals, Laser Therapy About a year ago our kitty, Oliver, was injured. Because he’s an indoor-outdoor kitty, we weren’t sure what happened. All we knew is that his injuries were getting progressively worse. He lost control of his back legs and became incontinent. We were certain that we were going to lose him. I called Dr. Mitzi Schepps to see if acupuncture might help. She worked with Oliver with acupuncture and physical therapy. She suggested that we purchase The Assisi Loop. Within days we could see some improvement. Over the course of a few weeks, Oliver was 80% healed. A year later, he is about to celebrate his 15th birthday, as strong as ever. I cannot recommend Dr. Schepps highly enough. She saved Oliver’s life. This is Oliver having therapy with The Assisi Loop. Tracey Brabant Roswell Lukas
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals, Assisi Loop, Laser Therapy While I appreciate Dr. Schepps’ business model and her decision to stay out of the Western side of veterinary medicine, selfishly, I wish we could use her for both. I have yet to find someone that I trust in all areas of health, wellness, and longevity for my dogs. Dr. Schepps has become the one that I trust and turn to with the care of my guys. She integrates her knowledge and education of veterinary medicine into all aspects of care and treatment. I also think that the in-home setting created a comfortable and loving environment for our pets. Dr. Schepps helped us have twelve amazingly healthy and active years with our Golden Retriever, Lukas. I can never thank her for helping him and us to make those senior years seem like puppy years. Dr. Schepps is now treating his sister, Lulu. who is equally athletic, but in a Beagle way! Shannon Greenhill Roswell Zephyr
Acupuncture, Chinese Herbals, ToeGrips, Essential Oils This is my beautiful Zephyr — 11 1/2 years old and as playful as can be, with Dr. Schepps’ help. A few months ago he was sluggish, had a hard time getting up when lying on the floor, his feet were sliding out from under him and twisting when walking and his stance was sway back, typical “getting older” signs most dogs have. I knew acupuncture would help, so I called on Dr. Mitzi. We began treatments once a month, and today he is up and playing and turning time backwards. He even asks to go for walks! I also have a 4-year-old rescue pup, Rocky, and they play and romp! We look forward to his monthly visits from Dr. Mitzi and, best of all, acupuncture has NO side effects like drugs do!
